Our founding team grew up in family businesses. In my case, it was a small lodging operation my parents dedicated their lives to. Growing up — and later while in college — I helped manage the books and ultimately guided my father through the difficult process of preparing for and selling the business. That experience left a lasting impression and gave me a deep appreciation for the challenges small and medium-sized business owners face.
Over the years, I went on to start and sell businesses of my own, applying the investment banking training I received early in my career along with decades of leadership experience across public, private, and startup companies. These roles gave me a 360-degree view of how businesses create value, scale, and transition successfully.
At Verta Advisors, this perspective is shared across our team. Many of us grew up in family businesses and have lived the same challenges our clients face today. That alignment drives our mission: to give business owners the trusted guidance and professional expertise we wish our own families had access to when it mattered most.
